You’ll find wisdom, wit, fun and foolishness, love, despair, hope, anger, kindness, and satire in his work - and every lyric has a video link. Phenton Thomas “Ukulele Man” Harker bought a used, pawn shop ukulele at the age of fourteen. You can decide, at this late date, whether or not he has learned how to play it. Along the way he taught junior and senior high school for thirty-one years, served as the local teachers’ union president for fifteen years, led a band - “Ukulele Man & his Prodigal Sons” for ten years, wrote a lot of songs and poems and rants, made two CD’s (available digitally) - "SumoNinjaLele" and "Crazy Old World" - and compiled an ebook, “Ukulele Man’s Song Book,” containing thirty of his songs. He lives in Circleville, Ohio - not far from Booger Hospital Martin Harvey Israel has at various times taught math, taught programming, sold insurance, sold stocks, sold antiques, and leapt tall buildings in a single bound. His Fortress of Solitude is in Flushing, New York.
